Hiboo, a French firm specialised in data intelligence and decarbonisation of fleets and construction machinery, has reinforced its UK expansion with the appointment of Ciaran Higgins as local representative.
Higgins will accelerate the French company’s efforts across the Channel, helping UK fleets to enhance productivity and energy efficiency.
Hiboo recently entered the British market through partnerships with Halomec, specialised in optimising the productivity of mobile and static plant, and by joining the Construction Plant Hire Association (CPA), working with Flannery, Potter Plant, Blackwood and MCS Rental Software.
Hiboo’s data management technology helps companies optimise operations across different types of assets, from trucks and construction machinery to vans and light vehicles. The company currently manages the data of 10,000 units connected to its platform. Hiboo’s software primarly draws on OEM telematics systems and the company has developed more than 130 API connectors with equipment manufacturers such as MAN and telematics solution providers like Geotab, enabling its customers to connect their entire fleet thanks to the platform’s compatibility with all technologies.
Its work in the UK will be propelled with the arrival of Ciaran Higgins, whose background includes strong expertise with construction technology startups in the US, focusing on CRM and safety technology solutions that bridge the gap between operations and digital tools.
Since joining Hiboo, he has already reinforced the company’s initial expansion efforts in the UK, concentrating on large-scale joint venture infrastructure projects, such as Hinkley Point C, and the plant hire sector where accurate, automated data sharing across the supply chain is a key challenge. Vehicle fleets are a strong focus too.
Clement Benard, Hiboo’s CEO, commented: “We are very confident in the growth potential of the British market for our activities and Ciaran is the ideal choice to accelerate our development there. He believes that effective data management and actionable insights for people in the field can unlock major performance gains and help businesses navigate with increasingly tight margins.
“Our approach is never to prescribe solutions but to deeply understand each business and identify the most effective strategy for implementation based on its unique needs.”
