Vehicle subscription models could be good for the fleet leasing sector, which is facing unprecedented challenges right now and business models are having to change. The latest offering of a business vehicle subscription service provides a welcome opportunity for both customers and fleet leasing providers. Potential customers are reacting favourably to the concept of accessing vehicles at a low-risk, with no long-term contract commitment or early termination penalties. In addition to the vehicle, a subscription model provides insurance, road tax, servicing and repairs, UK breakdown, accident, glass and tyres cover. This business model promises to be an important antidote to any fallout from the lockdown suffered by the leasing sector.Read More
We felt the pressure during lockdown to continue to provide fleet software support to our customers – and we know they felt the pressure too! We were determined not to add to their stress so we made it a priority to clear the way so we could work at full capacity with sales and technical support – even with agents working from home. Just like everyone else, the uncertainty of lockdown made us nervous and we weren’t sure it would all go to plan. To compound matters, we provide fleet software support to customers and prospects globally and this meant dealing with different time zones, lockdown legislation, rules, regulations and fiscal issues. However, we’re proud to report that we did it! Bynx’s solution customers continued to enjoy the same high level of fleet software support and attention they always get – even though our physical offices were closed. We offered no excuses, delays or recorded messages. It’s also testament to our continued investment in our own I.T. systems and infrastructure. We’re less nervous now, having done this and can face the future confidently, no matter how uncertain it may be.
Working remotely has been new for many companies over the Coronavirus lockdown period, especially in the vehicle leasing, fleet management and mobility sectors. And it’s entailed ensuring you have the right systems and security in place to support remote workers and customers.
Happily, Bynx was already familiar with the remote working concept, having been offering it as an option to our own employees (many of whom have young families at home) for some time. We had tried and tested our own technology, and the third-party apps we connect with (such as Microsoft TEAMS) and were pleased to be up and running remotely within hours of the lockdown announcement back in March 2020. Within a short time, we were able to deal with enquiries from prospects and carry out detailed presentations, at no cost or inconvenience to them. We now have a number of remote facilities available to Bynx sales, irrespective of where you are in the world and we look forward to being with you for the journey to the ‘new normal’.
Bynx’s enhanced disposal/remarketing module has been helping fleet owners sustain remarketing activity and vehicle sales throughout the Coronavirus lockdown.
Bynx remarketing technology, which is part of the standard release of Bynx fleet, leasing and mobility management platform, has been remotely deployed and implemented for customers during lockdown. It provides a task-based, process flow, user interface, which makes it highly intuitive and easy to use (without advanced technical skill). Fleet owners can conveniently carry out on-site, end-of-contract vehicle inspections and capture images for sales purposes. Prospective buyers can view real-time vehicle stock, specifications, maintenance histories and remarketing images remotely using a wireless device without the need to travel and with the added benefit of buying online – a win/win situation!
Returning to a new normal for vehicle fleet, leasing and mobility operators is not going to be easy.
