Mark Binks

Group Managing Director

As well as giving his name to the business, albeit using a different spelling, Mark co-founded Bynx Africa in 1989. He held the position of Managing Director until March 1998 when he stepped aside to concentrate on international business development and the next generation of Bynx products.
Mark returned as Managing Director in 2002 to steer Bynx through its next phase, primarily independence from its parent and the development of the US and Pacific Rim markets. Currently Mark as Group MD is focused on developing Bynx as a global player in the technology-based business solutions market place.

Shoaib Sheikh

Managing Director Bynx Europe and
Group Finance Director

Shoaib joined Bynx in May 2002 and brings significant experience of corporate strategy and operational management; relationships in the investment community; a working knowledge of the IT and software industry; and most importantly an entrepreneurial ambition to make Bynx an international success story. Shoaib is a Chartered Management Accountant and a graduate of the University of London.

   Owen Goschen

Operations Director Bynx Europe

After graduating, Owen started his career developing software in Oracle. In 1992 he joined Bynx when it opened its Durban office and in 1997 Owen was appointed to the board of the South African operation. Owen has been involved in the development of all aspects of the group's software and has a complete understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the system. He was also involved in the development of the Durban office and before leaving to join Bynx Europe, he was General Manager. Currently Owen is primarily responsible for project delivery.

Ashley Smith

Managing Director Bynx Australia

Ashley is currently Managing Director of BYNX Australia Pty Ltd. Ashley was previously the Operations director of Bynx Africa Pty Ltd. Ashley joined Bynx Africa in 1999. Prior to joining Bynx, he spent most of the prior 13 years involved with developing Financial, Fleet Management and Leasing Systems for various companies. During this time Ashley fulfilled positions that included IT directorships. As such he has a wealth of business knowledge from the Fleet Management, Leasing, Financial Services and IT industry. He also has strong strategic, analytical, technical and consulting skills.

Greig Swebeck

Sales and Marketing Director Asia Pacific

Greig has worked within the financial software industry since 1984. His background includes extensive work with securities trading and financial futures software, and consulting internationally to the capital markets industry. His roles have ranged from advising the Bank for International Settlements in Basle Switzerland on financial futures applications, implementing trading software in Tokyo, to setting up a software help-desk for letter of credit systems in New York. In addition. Greig has held senior sales and marketing roles within securities trading, asset finance and CRM software companies, continually exceeding his targets and has been awarded the BIS Banking Chairman’s Award for Achievement. He commenced with Bynx in early 2001 being appointed director later that year.
